Bitcoin is a new payment system taking the world by surprise. At the same time, there are so many misunderstandings and concerns because everything about money is a tricky subject. But today we give you a list of several Bitcoin movies or documentaries to better comprehend this “new money” that in a few years can become a normal and international currency.

What can you learn from Bitcoin movies?

As with any movie or documentary, these can offer an inside about bitcoin, why they are becoming so popular, and how you can use them safely. With these bitcoin movies, we hope that you can find answers to some questions like:

What is bitcoin?

This is a new payment system based entirely in digital money, to put it more simple is like cash from the internet! This is considered the first decentralized peer-to-peer network, without a central authority and with just the users’ power.

Bitcoin creation

The first description of bitcoin appeared in 1998 under the name “cryptocurrency” by Wei Dei, explaining all on the cyberpunks mailing list. But it was until 2009 that Satoshi Nakamoto published a first specification and proof of concept on a cryptography mailing list. However Nakamoto left the project in 2010, without giving more details about himself, but the software was open to anyone who wanted to check it out.

That way, the bitcoin protocol can be copied, or any developer can create its own protocol following Satoshi’s work. That is the main reason why there are several bitcoins online, and many developers are creating new ones. That is the reason why there is not an official creator for bitcoins.

How does bitcoin work?

This is a simple system; at first sight, every user can use an app or computer program that will work as a wallet where they can save, send, and receive bitcoins. But it goes beyond this; the system is a public ledger called “blockchain”.

Behind the scene, this “chain” contains every transaction processed, with the computer verifying the validity of the transactions. Digital signatures of the sending address protect each transaction; this allows users to control over sending bitcoins from their wallets fully.

Is Bitcoin really used?

Yes, many people are using this system while you are reading this article. Bitcoin is becoming a good way of investment, and of course, in the middle of this pandemic, it’s a great way of contactless payment. The best way to acquire bitcoins and use them is to pay for goods and services; to purchase bitcoins at a bitcoin exchange; to exchange them with someone trustworthy; and with mining with specialized hardware to process transactions, earning bitcoins through a tough competition.

Is it difficult to make a bitcoin payment?

On the contrary, these transactions are quite secure; just with an app that works as a wallet, you can pay for a good or a service, or exchange them. With the app, just enter the recipient’s address or name, the amount, and just press send. You can obtain different addresses just with a QR Code, that facilitate the transaction.
